As Koos trained in New Zealand, his teammates did the same in a variety of places including Alaska, British Columbia, and Idaho. The following is Koos' account of the camp he attended as well as the status of his teammates elsewhere.</i></description>

<description>ANCHORAGE (July 25) - Kikkan Randall (Anchorage, AK) just wrapped up a session of training with the Alaska Pacific University Nordic Ski Center on Eagle Glacier in the Chugach Mountains near Anchorage, AK. Weather would not allow for a helicopter so Randall, along with a group of APU athletes, hiked three hours to reach the glacier for their second time there in a month.</description>

<description>PARK CITY, Utah (July 7) - Anchorage, one of the leading cross country ski markets in America, will host the ConocoPhillips U.S. Cross Country Championships at Kincaid Park for the next two years, the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association announced July 7. The annual national championship races held the first week of January will challenge America's best cross country skiers as they compete for the title of best in the U.S.</description>

U.S. World Cup winner Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) led the way, winning two races including the sprint and the 10K classic, while U-23 Championship medalist Liz Stephen (East Montpelier, VT) won the 10K freestyle. The Team now heads to Fairbanks for the U.S. Cross Country Championships distance event this weekend.</description>
