BIOGRAPHY
A Maine native, Jeremy Cota's laid-back style may be what will take him all the way. Making sure not to take anything too seriously and keeping things in perspective, Cota already has some impressive wins under his belt. Both challenging and enjoyable for him, freestyle skiing gives Cota a chance to challenge himself, and push himself to see how far he can go.

UPDATE
The 2009 NorAm champion, Jeremy has had some great experience with winning.  With 11 career podiums on the NorAm and EuropaCup already, Cota's coaches are looking forward to continuing honing his skills into a World Cup environment.

FIRST TRACKS
A ski instructor at Big Squaw Mountain, a small mountain in Maine, Jeremy's mother is responsible for introducing him to the world of skiing. When he was about 3 or 4 years old, Jeremy put on his first skis and soon thereafter, began experimenting with alpine racing. He joined the Sugarloaf Freestyle Program when he was 12, and stuck with that, as it seemed like a much less serious style of skiing that worked well with his carefree personality. It was at Carrabassett Valley Academy in (Carrabassett, Maine), however, that really got him hooked to the sport. Attending CVA for 5 years, Cota worked on developing his strength and skills as a moguls skier.

I AM
"Laid back"…I have a older brother who used to ski and is now out of college…both of my parents ski and live in Maine…I love to play tennis and go mountain biking when I am not skiing…I've started online classes at CU Boulder, and hopefully will be able to be a full time student there sometime in the future…
