GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (March 11) - The FIS Council members attending the 2010 Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals have confirmed that Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) will officially receive the women's super combined crystal globe when it is awarded during a public ceremony Saturday night.

Vonn garnered 160 points in the two races staged this winter with a December victory in Val d'Isere, France followed by a third place in St. Moritz, Switzerland just prior to the Olympic break. The final race of the season was set for Crans Montana, Switzerland on March 5th but was canceled due to high winds.

Vonn edged 2009 super combined winner Anja Paerson of Sweden by a narrow 10 points and was 30 points ahead of Austria's Michaela Kirchgasser.

In addition to the already locked downhill and super G crystal globes, the super combined is her third of the season and the first time she has won the discipline title. She also currently leads the overall standings by 165 points over Maria Riesch of Germany with only super G and slalom remaining on the World Cup schedule.

No American has ever won three discipline titles in a single season.
